Bruce Banman has resigned from the B.C. Conservative caucus to sit as an independent MLA, becoming the sixth Conservative member to defect under leader Kerry-Lynne Findlay this month.

Hon Chan, the MLA for Richmond Centre, has been charged with assault, assault by choking, and uttering threats, leading to his expulsion from the B.C. Conservative caucus.
