Na početku žetve otkupna cena pšenice iznosila je svega 18 dinara po kilogramu, dok su troškovi proizvodnje dostigli oko 27 dinara po kilogramu. Prosta matematika, po kilogramu poljoprivrednici izgube čak 9 dinara, dakle, svaki treći dinar je bačen.
