Violence and Death Mark Opening Phase of PoK Elections

The initial phase of voting in the Mirpur Division of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) was marred by violence, including a burnt ballot box and one fatality. Despite heavy security, turnout in parts of Mirpur appeared subdued amid soaring temperatures.
