US Backs New Opposition Figure for Venezuela Transition, Sidelining Machado

The US is supporting Dinorah Figuera, former president of the parallel opposition National Assembly, to negotiate Venezuela's transition, sidelining María Corina Machado. Figuera has returned from exile to meet with Chavista leaders and the US envoy.
