UN Report Highlights $114 Billion Scam Losses and Global Crime Expansion

A United Nations report has revealed that transnational online scams originating from Southeast Asia have led to estimated losses of up to $114.1 billion in East Asia, Southeast Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. The report also cautions that criminal organizations are leveraging artificial intelligence and cryptocurrencies to expand fraud, money laundering, and human trafficking worldwide.
