Ukrainian arrested by Swiss for spying sentenced in Germany

A Ukrainian man who was arrested in Switzerland and extradited to Germany was sentenced on Tuesday to 15 months’ imprisonment for espionage. According to the prosecution, he had been planning arson attacks on behalf of Russia. The Stuttgart Court of Appeal acquitted two other Ukrainian defendants. The three men had been arrested in Konstanz, Cologne and the Swiss canton of Thurgau.
