'Trying to safeguard lives': Sri Lanka evacuates 2nd Iranian warship

Sri Lanka's navy said it had evacuated a second Iranian warship that had been adrift off its coast for days, citing concerns for the lives of its crew and the environment. The navy said it had boarded the vessel, the IRIS Makran, and transferred its crew to shore. The ship, a logistics and aviation support vessel, had been anchored about 10 nautical miles off the southern port of Hambantota since last week. The navy said it was taking steps to prevent any potential environmental damage.
