Tripura High Court Rules Divorced Daughter Eligible for Father's Family Pension

Woman divorced after father's death can get his family pension, Tripura HC rules

The Tripura high court ordered the Agartala Municipal Corporation to grant family pension benefits. A divorced daughter was eligible for the pension from her divorce date. The court found the corporation's rejection of the claim was incorrect. Pension rules do not require divorce at the pensioner's death. Arrears and interest were directed to be paid within three months.
