Francouzské vedení Tour de France čeká, až Česko oficiálně potvrdí kandidaturu na pořádání slavnostního startu cyklistického závodu. Hostit by chtělo takzvaný Grand Départ v roce 2029 – 40 let od Sametové revoluce. Cyklisté by mohli projet historickým centrem Prahy, Křivoklátskem i jižními Čechy.
