
Tokyo’s Shinjuku Ward Bans Short-Term Vacation Rentals in Residential Zones
The Shinjuku ward government has approved a strict prohibition on short-term vacation rentals within residential neighborhoods and near educational facilities. The policy will eliminate more than half of the area’s existing minpaku listings to address neighborhood disruption and safety concerns.
