Telangana CM Urges Amit Shah to Increase Sanctioned Strength of IPS Officers in State
Telangana CM K Chandrashekar Rao has urged Union Home Minister Amit Shah to increase the sanctioned strength of Indian Police Service (IPS) officers in the state. Rao, in a letter to Shah, highlighted the increasing population and the growing needs of the state, necessitating a higher allocation of IPS officers. He stated that the current strength is insufficient to effectively manage law and order and address the evolving security challenges. The Chief Minister requested Shah to consider the state's requirements and approve an increase in the cadre strength of IPS officers.
