Taiwanese Author Yang Shuang-zi Wins International Booker Prize for 'Taiwan Travelogue'
Taiwanese author Yang Shuang-zi has been awarded the International Booker Prize for her historical novel 'Taiwan Travelogue', making it the first book originally written in Mandarin Chinese to receive the honor. She expressed her refusal to be a 'second-class citizen in her own land' in her acceptance speech at the Tate Modern in London.
