Swedish Warship Vasa Sinks on Maiden Voyage
The royal battleship Vasa, intended to be a symbol of Swedish dominance, sank after less than fifteen minutes of its maiden voyage before thousands of spectators. The wreck was discovered centuries later by an amateur archaeologist.
