Suspect Arrested in Tokyo Attempted Robbery, Believed to be Crime Group Leader

A 25-year-old suspect has been arrested in Tokyo on suspicion of attempted robbery and assault. Police believe the individual was a leader and recruiter for an anonymous, fluid crime group involved in an incident in March where a couple was attacked in their office/home.

ことし3月、東京江東区にある会社事務所兼住宅に侵入し、住人の夫婦にドア越しに暴行を加えるなどして金品を奪おうとしたとして、25歳の容疑者が強盗未遂などの疑いで逮捕されました。この事件ではこれまでに実行役などとみられる5人が逮捕・起訴されていて、容疑者は指示役兼リクルート役とみられるということで、警視庁は匿名・流動型犯罪グループとみて調べています。
