Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation surprised by lawyer's trust fees, seeks removal

The chief of Sturgeon Lake Cree Nation expressed surprise upon learning this week about millions of dollars in fees allegedly charged to the band’s trust fund by lawyer Jeff Rath in 2023 and 2024. The Nation is now seeking to remove him as trustee.
