Španski pravosudni sistem je serijom istraga i presuda za korupciju, trgovinu uticajem i zloupotrebu položaja otvorio put za smjenu vlasti u Madridu 2018. godine, odnosno za dolazak na vlast socijalista Pedra Sančeza. U prethodnih par mjeseci španski tužioci i sudije su stavili na težak ispit Sančezovu vladu budući da su se u zatvoru ili pod istragama našli članovi uže familije premijera Sančeza, kao i najbliži saradnici u partiji.
