SNCF 'Elegance Guide' for Staff Criticized as Sexist

A 'guide to elegance' for SNCF employees, which included recommendations on makeup and attire, has been deemed 'sexist' by the Sud-Rail union. SNCF stated it has withdrawn the controversial guide.

«Nulle part il n’est stipulé que les cheminotes auraient l’obligation d’adapter leur corps, leur silhouette ou leur apparence aux exigences esthétiques de l’entreprise», a dénoncé le syndicat Sud-Rail. La SNCF assure avoir retiré le guide en question.
