Slovenia Acquires New Breathalyzers for Stricter Alcohol Testing

Slovenia's Ministry of Interior will purchase 96 new breathalyzers for 770,000 euros, following a Constitutional Court decision that driver consent alone is insufficient for alcohol testing. This aims to implement stricter rules for checking driver sobriety.

770 tisoč evrov za nove etilometre: strožja pravila pri preverjanju alkohola

Ministrstvo za notranje zadeve bo za preverjanje alkoholiziranosti voznikov nabavilo 96 novih etilometrov. Ustavno sodišče je namreč lani odločilo, da za ugotavljanje alkoholiziranosti ne zadošča strinjanje voznika z rezultatom alkotesta, in zato predlagalo nabavo dodatnih etilometrov. Alkoteste bodo policisti uporabljali še naprej, pozitivne rezultate pa bodo potrjevali z etilometrom.
