Severe Shortage of Mental Health Specialists Persists in East Iceland
Despite increased government funding and promises, there remains a severe shortage of psychologists and other specialists providing mental health services in trauma-affected communities in East Iceland. Ragnar Sigurðsson, chairman of the Fjarðarbyggð municipal council, highlighted the ongoing issue.
