Rural Fires in Portugal: Arson Accounts for Over a Third of Ignitions

A report by the ICNF reveals that arson and controlled burns are responsible for more than a third of all rural fire ignitions with an identified cause in Portugal up to mid-August. Compared to last year, there have been more fires but significantly less destruction.
