Rural and Community Banks Account for Over Half of Cash Suppression Cases in Ghana's SDI Sector
According to the Bank of Ghana's 2025 Fraud Report, cash suppression remained the most prevalent fraud type in the Savings and Deposit-Taking Institutions (SDI) sector, with Rural and Community Banks accounting for over half of these cases, despite an overall 59 percent decline in reported incidents.
