RTÉ staff to ballot for industrial action over outsourcing plans

Over 600 SIPTU members at Irish broadcaster RTÉ will vote in a protective ballot to authorize industrial action, including strikes, in response to potential further outsourcing of core programming.

More than 600 SIPTU members in RTÉ are to be asked to vote in a protective ballot indicating their intent to take industrial action, up to and including strike action, if the broadcaster attempts to further outsource any of the station's core programme productions or other roles.
