Romanian Banks Fined Over €700 Million for ROBOR Manipulation
The Romanian Competition Council has issued record fines exceeding €700 million to ten major banks for alleged collusion and manipulation of the ROBOR interbank interest rate. Several banks have strongly denied the accusations and announced their intention to contest the decision in court.
