Result of the referendum in Iceland influenced by disinformation, thinks an Icelander living in Prague

Iceland rejected the resumption of negotiations on joining the European Union over the weekend. 52.8 percent of voters voted against it. 'People are not sufficiently informed.'

Island o víkendu odmítl obnovení jednání o vstupu do Evropské unie. Proti se vyslovilo 52,8 procent hlasujících. „Lidé nejsou dostatečně informovaní. Mnozí si neuvědomují, že už dnes uplatňujeme velkou část evropských pravidel. Neúčastníme se ale jednání, kde se vytvářejí,“ říká v rozhovoru pro Radio Prague International Islanďanka Auður Loftsdottirová.
