Some 6.6 million Italians are living abroad says Istat

(ANSA) - ROME, SEP 3 - At the end of 2025 some 6.6 million Italian nationals were residing abroad, approximately 183,000 more than at the beginning of last year, according to a preliminary estimate released by Istat on Thursday. The national statistics agency said the number of Italians residing abroad rose by 2.8% last year, down from an increase of 4.6% in 2024.
