Portuguese Emergency Service Increases Payments to Firefighters for Ambulances
INEM, Portugal's national emergency medical service, will increase its monthly payments to firefighters and the Red Cross for each ambulance to 10,800 euros, effective Wednesday. This significant increase from 6,690 euros to 8,760 euros in 2025, and now to 10,800 euros, was made possible by a 30 million euro budget reinforcement.
