Portugal Activates EU Safeguard Clause for Energy Expenses
Portugal has activated the EU safeguard clause to accommodate energy expenses. Finance Minister Miranda Sarmento, present at the Eurogroup, also commented that the ECB's interest rate hike was 'not absolutely necessary'.
