Pomorskie samorządy będą mogły łatwiej i skuteczniej koordynować działania w takich obszarach jak transport, planowanie przestrzenne czy ochrona środowiska. To efekt ustawy metropolitalnej dla tego regionu. Przyjął ją już Sejm, a za kilka dni zajmie się nią Senat.
