Police Detain Six Overnight at Þjóðhátíð Festival

Six people were held in police custody overnight during the Þjóðhátíð festival in Vestmannaeyjar, where officers also opened an investigation into suspected drug dealing. Police said they maintained a strong anti-drug presence throughout the annual festival in Herjólfsdalur. Nine drug-related offences were recorded, including one case that is being investigated on suspicion of drug sales.
