Peniche Council Opposes Kaolin and Clay Mining Project
The municipality of Peniche has formally rejected a proposed kaolin and clay mining project, citing environmental studies that show residential areas located dangerously close to the extraction site. The neighboring town of Óbidos has also issued an unfavorable opinion on the plan.
