Patient Dies, 2 in Serious Condition After Chemotherapy Administration: Different Chemical Detected at Saitama Hospital
At the Saitama Children's Medical Center in Chuo Ward, Saitama City, it was discovered that last year, three leukemia patients developed neurological symptoms such as difficulty walking after receiving chemotherapy. One of them died. Subsequent investigations revealed that a chemical other than the intended chemotherapy drug was detected in the patients, and the hospital is thoroughly investigating the circumstances.
