A large-scale security deployment was launched at the Mactan Shrine in Lapu-Lapu City on Saturday, as the Philippine National Police (PNP) mobilized a force of more than 7,300 personnel from various government security and emergency response agencies in preparation for the Association of Southeast Asian Nations Summit 2026 in Cebu.
