Ostrava Scientists Develop Quantum Encryption Simulator to Protect Future Communication

Scientists from Ostrava University in the Czech Republic have developed a simulator for quantum encryption. This tool aims to help create new methods to secure sensitive information, such as medical records and financial transactions, against the threat posed by future quantum computers.

Zdravotnická dokumentace, posílání peněz mezi bankami, policejní vyšetřování nebo tajné zprávy o vojenských operacích – všechny tyto informace dnes chrání šifrování. S nástupem kvantových počítačů ale současné zabezpečení přestává být do budoucna jistotou. Podle odborníků nejsou problémem samotné šifry, ale bezpečné předávání jejich klíčů. Ostravští experti proto vyvinuli simulátor, který jejich množství dokáže dopředu spočítat.
