Met miljarden euro's subsidie probeert het kabinet het tempo voor de bouw van windparken op de Noordzee weer op gang te brengen. Minister Van Veldhoven van Klimaat en Groene Groei praat ook met de bedrijven die binnenkort moeten beginnen met de bouw van de grootste windparken tot nu toe. Pensioenfonds ABP en energiebedrijf Vattenfall hebben in 2024 de opdrachten gewonnen om windparken van 2 gigawatt te bouwen, zonder subsidie.
