Every autumn, the National Museum of Iceland celebrates the Icelandic national costume with a festival, and this weekend’s National Costume Festival is particularly exciting because of the exhibition A Story in the Luggage – The Bridal Costume, which opened in May and features one of the most elaborate traditional faldbúningur costumes in Icelandic history.
