Municipalities in North Macedonia Collect Only a Fraction of Taxes and Fees

An audit by the State Audit Office revealed that municipalities in North Macedonia generated over 47.7 million euros in uncollected tax, fee, and charge receivables between 2020 and 2024, while writing off 3.8 million euros.
