Mother-Son Duo Sentenced for Smuggling Pounamu in New Zealand
A mother and son, Xin Li and Boyuan Zhang, have been fined a combined $5000 for smuggling 18kg of pounamu, marking the first time anyone has been sentenced for this offense, a decision celebrated by iwi leaders.
