Morning Bid: Falling oil calms nervy markets
Global stocks and bonds found some calm on Tuesday as oil prices retreated from recent highs, easing some of the inflationary pressures that had unnerved investors. The decline in crude, which had surged on supply concerns, offered a much-needed respite for markets that had been grappling with the prospect of aggressive interest rate hikes by central banks. Investors are now closely watching economic data releases for further clues on the path of inflation and monetary policy.
