Milky Way Flipped After Collision with Gaia Sausage Dwarf Galaxy 10 Billion Years Ago

New computer simulations suggest that the Milky Way galaxy underwent a significant reorientation ten billion years ago after colliding with a dwarf galaxy, dubbed the Gaia Sausage, which had a mass exceeding ten billion times that of the Sun.
