Beastie Boy Mike D releases his first solo LP 'Thank You'
Mike D rose to fame in the 1980s as part of New York's Beastie Boys, a rap-rock trio who soon tired of poking fun at frat boy humour with hits like "Fight for Your Right (To Party!)" and" Girls". The band quickly moved on thanks to their passion for beat making, sampling and playing around in the studio, establishing themselves over three decades as credible genre-bending musicians.
