Meghalaya Clears Separate ST-Only Electoral Roll

Meghalaya has approved a separate electoral roll exclusively for Scheduled Tribes (ST) as part of its Sixth Schedule reform. This move fulfills a long-standing demand and comes months after the Council amended its rules to make an ST certificate mandatory for candidates.
