A 53-year-old man from Toyama Prefecture was arrested for preparing to commit a random mass killing in Tokyo, stating he wanted to be shot or executed.

東京で不特定多数の人たちを殺害しようと考え、荷物にナイフを入れるなどの準備をしたとして、富山県滑川市の53歳の容疑者が殺人予備の疑いで逮捕されました。調べに対し「無差別殺傷事件を起こせば射殺されるか死刑になって死ねると考えた」などと供述しているということです。
