Seat ejection, mud embankment may have saved lone survivor of AI 171 crash

Air India Flight 171 crashed shortly after takeoff from Ahmedabad on June 12, 2025, killing 241 people. Miraculously, one passenger, Viswashkumar Ramesh, survived the devastating incident. An internal police assessment revealed his survival was due to a unique combination of factors, including his seat's position and a protective mud embankment.
