Lithuanian Ministry of Energy Proposes Electricity Cost Reduction for Residents

The Lithuanian Ministry of Energy announced that approximately 285,000 residents could be paying 1.5 times more for electricity than necessary and is proposing amendments to the Electricity Energy Law to address this.

Energetikos ministerija skelbia, kad apie 285 tūkst. gyventojų už elektrą moka vidutiniškai apie 1,5 karto daugiau, nei galėtų mokėti. Viešajai konsultacijai teikiami Elektros energetikos įstatymo pakeitimai, kuriais siekiama, kad tiekėjai patys nutrauktų sutartis permokantiems pažeidžiamiausiems vartotojams.
