Lithuanian Ministry of Defense Proposes Changes to State Defense Fund Operations

Following an audit by the State Control that found 36 million euros unused in the State Defense Fund last year, Lithuania's Ministry of National Defense proposes changes to its operational model to allow for more flexible and efficient use of funds.

Valstybės kontrolės (VK) auditui nustačius, kad pernai Gynybos fonde liko nepanaudoti 36 mln. eurų, o jo veikimo modelis yra nelankstus, Krašto apsaugos ministerija (KAM) siūlo jį tobulinti ir perimti su šių lėšų paskirstymu susijusias funkcijas.
