Kako to samo sila koju je Crnjanski zvao Slučaj Komedijant može da izrežira, u toku ista 24 sata otišla su dva čoveka, obojica u osamdesetpetoj, obojica u nečijim očima junaci. A ništa im drugo zajedničko nije. Obojica su trajno oblikovala živote. Jedan tako što je zavio u crno hiljade porodica, drugi tako što je usadio plemenitost u srca miliona ljudi.
