Liberec Zoo bids farewell to its last elephant, Bala, as she relocates to Wales

The Liberec Zoo in the Czech Republic has ended its elephant breeding program, sending its final matriarch, Bala, on a 1,700-kilometer journey to a new sanctuary in Wales after thirteen years.

Liberecká zoo se v neděli rozloučila se svou jedinou slonicí. Bala po třinácti letech v zahradě vyrazila na přibližně 1700 kilometrů dlouhou cestu do nového domova ve Walesu. Dorazit by tam měla během pondělí.
