Latvia to Subsidize Prescription Medicine Service Fees

Starting July 1st, residents in Latvia purchasing prescription medicines under 10 euros will no longer pay a 75-cent service fee to pharmacists. The state has committed to covering this cost, allocating nine million euros from the budget.

Sākot no trešdienas, 1. jūlija, iedzīvotāji, kuri iegādājas recepšu zāles, kuru cena nepārsniedz 10 eiro par iepakojumu, vairs nemaksās pakalpojuma maksu 75 centus farmaceitam. Šo summu apņēmusies apmaksāt valsts, tam no budžeta tērējot deviņus miljonus eiro.
