Kyoto University designated as International Excellent Research University

Japan's Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology has announced that Kyoto University will be certified as an "International Excellent Research University," making it eligible for approximately 20 billion yen in government aid this fiscal year to achieve world-class research standards.
