Krnov Addresses Former Landfill Turned Nature Reserve with Rare Toad Population
The Krnov municipality is deciding the future of a former sandpit and landfill area under Cvilín, which has transformed into a valuable natural habitat for the critically endangered common spadefoot toad. Such sites are rare in the Czech Republic, and the temporary protection for the area is nearing its end.
